/ HOW WE WORK

Top-down strategy, ground-level delivery.

Nature-positive strategy, finance architecture, and delivery for GEF Agencies, governments, funds, and enterprises. RDG’s multidisciplinary team designs national and sector strategies in alignment with governments and multilateral institutions, and combines technical, ecological, financial, institutional, policy, and community expertise to deliver projects on the ground.

/ SERVICE 01 — ASSESSMENTS & DIAGNOSTICS

Al Baydha desert landscape

Assessments, financial diagnostics, and landscape scans.

Evaluating what exists, and scoping what to build next. For GEF-financed and multilateral-donor projects we support the full cycle — PIF development, ProDoc design, Mid-Term Reviews, Terminal Evaluations, feasibility and situation analyses, SESP screenings, and safeguards diagnostics aligned to GEF core indicators.

Ecological diagnostics are a distinct strength: biodiversity and habitat baselines, ecosystem-services valuations, land-use change analyses, and alignment with the Global Biodiversity Framework and TNFD. For enterprises and funds, we conduct organizational assessments, portfolio reviews, and investment-readiness diagnostics against the terms real investors and donors will accept.

/ SERVICE 02 — ORGANIZATIONAL, PROGRAM & FUND DESIGN

Organizational, program, and fund design.

Regenerative enterprises, investment vehicles, and donor-financed projects live or die on their design — and sustainable-finance architecture is where most of them succeed or stall. We produce detailed, funder-ready blueprints that align strategy, operations, ecology, and finance.

For GEF-financed initiatives we produce PIFs, full ProDocs, CEO Endorsement packages, theories of change, co-financing strategies, and integrated risk, gender, and safeguards frameworks. Blended finance is a core competency — we design capital stacks combining concessional, catalytic, and commercial capital, structured to unlock projects that would otherwise remain unfundable.

/ SERVICE 03 — STRATEGIC ADVISORY & POLICY ADVOCACY

Strategic advisory and policy advocacy.

Regenerative outcomes rarely hold without the right enabling policy — on land and marine tenure, protected-area management, benefit sharing, carbon and biodiversity markets, PES, concessional finance, and safeguards.

We support governments, donors, and GEF Agencies with portfolio reviews, restructuring plans, safeguards and SESP compliance reviews, and lessons-learned syntheses. For enterprises and funds we lead strategy development, capital-raise planning, blended-finance structuring, and nature and climate risk reviews — culminating in action plans for scale-up, restructuring, or transition.

/ SERVICE 04 — IMPLEMENTATION & MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

Implementation and management support.

Regenerative projects and donor-financed programs need to flex — scaling up during a financing tranche or MTR follow-through, and often needing surge expertise as co-financing partners, monitoring cycles, and reporting requirements evolve.

For GEF and other multilateral-donor projects we provide surge capacity during inception, after MTR findings, or during closure — M&E and reporting against GEF core indicators, ecological monitoring, financial management and co-financing tracking, procurement, SESP-aligned safeguards, ESMP roll-out, grievance mechanisms, FPIC and stakeholder engagement, and communications.
